Thinker Rules
Please get involved with our Thinking Club conversations. To participate, simply post your comments beneath a relevant discussion thread. Or send us your ideas for discussion topics.
To give these talks a chance for optimal creative thinking, we ask that you follow the guidelines below.
They may also inspire you to establish your own thinking group. For help in setting up your own chapter, contact us. As your sponsor we will give you some guidelines for running productive sessions, supply additional thinking tools, create your brand and give you a web presence.
If you’re using any of the tools and/or ideas generated on this website, please acknowledge this site as your reference. Send us an email first so we know what you’re hoping to publish. Hopefully it will lead to a cross-fertilisation of more great ideas.
Thinking Club Guidelines
- Thinking Club is a forum for lateral/creative thinking. Save your logical/linear thinking for a different time.
- Don’t judge your creative thoughts. ie. do not ask whether something would be possible, or probable. Allow the idea – any idea – to exist without judgement. A creative idea needs no precedence or evidence to be valid.
- When you catch yourself thinking in your routine way, deliberately making a point of switching thought directions. Think ‘outside the square’ by using the tools provided.
- Any discussions held by Thinking Club are considered public property. They will be published online and freely available over the internet.
- No-one has ownership of the ideas spawned by Thinking Club. They are here for all to share.
- We would appreciate your acknowledgment as a source of inspiration. You have ours in return.
- Use the power of your creative mind to think the world into being a better place.
